“In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness .” Hebrews 9:22 NIV
Karl Menninger, the famous psychiatrist, says that if he could convince the patients in his psychiatric hospitals that their sins were forgiven, 75% of them could walk out the next day. So often we do not take God at His Word.
Isn’t it amazing how we do forget or don’t understand the powerful truths that God has given to us in His Word. He tells us that when we trust Jesus and live on His promises, we are forgiven.
Every person carries baggage. Christians are no different. Prior to our connecting with God through Jesus, we did stuff, was involved in stuff and suffered stuff that has a residual effect on us to this very day.
Maybe you were told that you can’t make it, too dumb! Or that you are hopeless. Or maybe you can’t forgive yourself for things you did. Since becoming a Christian, you have learned about God’s great love and forgiveness but you have difficulty transferring that forgiveness to you personally.
Take hold of that forgiveness now that came about through the shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross. Walk ye in it! Grasp that freedom that is promised due to the cross of Christ. In the midst of this forgiveness is total healing—Spiritual, Mental and physical. Take it now!
