Siezing the Kingdom by Force
“From the time of John the Baptizer until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful people have been seizing it.”                                                  Matthew 11:12  (GW)

Following on from my message last Sunday of which I received some good response, I will outline more from this verse.

Nothing good comes easy. Nothing worthwhile is attained without a struggle. If it is attained easily, it is very hard to retain it. The kingdom of God is within you when you walk by faith in the Lord Jesus but in the journey of life, we obtain plenty of unwanted attachments, obsessions & addictions that contain us and so easily entangles us.

In the midst of our walk with Christ, we must actively fight against heavy weights and baggage in order to make advancements within the Kingdom of God. Some acts that seem innocent (sin) or that are done in private will certainly detrimentally affect you and other’s around you. It controls your mind into accepting lies and drives you into a Christless eternity.

A soldier who advances is of a sound & disciplined mind. We are soldiers in God’s army who must be determined to forcefully seize the Kingdom of God. Don’t allow any sin into your life that will compromise your position in the Kingdom. Be determined to be a forceful Christian, an overcoming Christian not held back by sin that we can accept or reject as a normal part of our lives. Let’s make a wilful decision to make Jesus our number one priority in our lives. Live for Him.

May the Lord bless you,

Love from your pastor, Daren.
