John 20:1 “Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been taken away from the entrance.” GNB
Think about it for a moment. For 3 years, you admired this miracle worker. You saw His great signs & wonders. You were even given authority by Him to heal the sick and cast out demons. You ate together, laughed & cried together and suddenly, your whole purpose of living was snatched away in gruesome form. Following a beating that He shouldn’t have survived, you witnessed the most painful death known to man.
Life as you knew it was over, forever! Where do you turn? But it wasn’t over. In fact, it had just begun. “Jesus is alive!” was the cry of the women. “Check it out!” The grave is empty! Where is He? Hope is rekindled. Death is not the final destruction. He has defeated death!!! He’s alive!
At the resurrection, the disciples were changed...Born Again.
How has the resurrection of Christ changed you? How are you different? Are you born again or do you doubt the power of the resurrection? Allow Jesus to transform you today into His likeness.
