2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Lord's Spirit is, there is freedom.”
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one of victory and freedom. We are set free because the shackles have been broken at the cross—Praise the name of Jesus!
However, we all have a past and with the past is the residue which is left from some of our mistakes & sins. We still suffer for much of our wrong choices however, the Lord gives us strength to overcome.
There is the other side as well. As much as we are saved, the devil tries to continues on his merry road of destruction on our lives even though the curse has been broken.
Christians CANNOT be possessed by the enemy for darkness & light cannot live in the same room but Christians can be oppressed and deceived into believing the lies of the enemy. Even Jesus was the subject of the devil’s taunts and temptation however He was without sin. Take this following passage to heart that Jesus read in the synagogue. He became the fulfilment of Isaiah 61:1
Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set oppressed people free”.
