We hear many good and timely sermons about not looking back, sighting the bad aspect of looking over the shoulder—regretting what we left behind when we are saved—living in the past etc. Jesus told us that anyone who falls into this category is not fit for the King’s service.
However, at this time of the year, it is relevant to glance over the shoulder in reflection rather than regret. Reflect on what was, how you can learn from each event of the past year, how you can do it better next time etc.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for GOD's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.”
Learning from our history is very wise and may also prevent future pain. Whether your year has been good, bad or indifferent, trust that God will look after your future. Join with me, Southern Bay by
declaring loudly—”2007 for JESUS!”
God bless you all in a great year of growth!
