It is so easy to lose touch with the reality of the calling God has placed on our lives. For the more long-term Christian, we often need to reflect back to our conversion to pinpoint the moment we were most excited and & confident in our faith!
This is not only sad but it states one other truth—If this is you, then you are missing out on something far greater in the “now”.
You see, God isn’t in the “has been” or the “what if” but in the “NOW”.
‘How do we get there?’, you might ask. The answer is quite simple.
2 Timothy 1:6 “For this reason, I am reminding you to fan into flames the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands.”
Have you had someone pray for you by the laying on of hands? This verse tells us to remember this time and fan into flames the gift given to you.
This is fundamental reflection. Don’t forget what God has invested into your life. Don’t go searching for the more ‘attractive gifts’ until you are found faithful with the gift that God has given you.
Your better days are ahead of you. Step out in faith and partner with the Holy Spirit and fan into flames your gift. Great things will follow as you do!
