How much do you know God...really know Him? God is totally eternal, totally great, totally loving, totally powerful, totally gracious, totally all knowing and the list goes on and on.
We face a dilemma! Is it possible to get enough of this awesome and wonderful God?
The Prophet Elisha met this poor widow who was in dire straits. She was in debt up to her eyeballs and her debtors were hounding her for money. Elisha told her to find jars, not just a few, and poor oil into them. It wasn’t until she came to the last collected jar did the oil run dry! (2 Kings 4) How much is enough?
According to this story, enough is based on the action of our faith! We say words and claim to believe God BUT that belief is only EVER displayed by the action that backs up our claim of faith.
We claim to know God. That claim is only crystallised by the time we spend in His presence serving Him and displaying our heart-filled joy in worshipping Him with our lifestyle.
How many jars have you collected this week? Has your oil well run dry? If so, collect more jars and display your faith in the world you live. How much is enough when it comes to God? What are your needs this morning? Don’t just say it, do what you claim to believe.
