All In God's Hands

A mother wakes up during a thunderstorm and hurries to her son’s room after a particularly bright flash of lightning, knowing that he’d be terrified. To her surprise, he’s standing at the window, “I was looking outside,” he said, “& you’ll never guess what happened. God took my picture.” the little boy was convinced (& so should we) that God was at work—therefore His world is a perfectly safe place to be.

When we face the unknown, we often find phobia’s that we didn’t even know existed. We fear the unknown—that place where we fail to be in control and try to replace it with something from our comfort zone.

That little boy could have been seized with fear and anxiety but rather, saw God’s creation at work.

Palm 24:1 says, “The earth and everything it contains are the LORD'S.”

Is that a truth we really believe or do we still try to give God a ‘helping hand’ along the way?

As a church, I do not want to fall into the trap of doing things because that’s the way it’s always been done or that’s the way someone else does it. We are giant slayers, Red Sea crossers and promised land dwellers. God’s agenda is far greater than ours & His view of our future is from an eternal prospective. I believe we are about to step up to a new level as a church. The journey might not be easy, but the destination is an oasis of God’s blessing. Please pray with me. Seek His face. You are a great church. Let’s go forward and possess the land—even though we might get scared at times.  God is in control.

Love from your pastor, Daren.
