We often preach to the children about choices and their consequences but what about the adults?
As an adult, I have made some dumb choices which attracted a great price. I know I am not alone making errors of judgement in our mature years. Yes we need to guide our children but mature Christians, all the more, need to get in line with God’s will. We need to teach by example how to grow in God, how to know God and how to live day to day for God.
We are told in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that we are ambassadors of Christ... “Therefore, we are Christ's representatives, and through us God is calling you.”
As ambassadors, we need to get to know God more intimately so we can & will know His will and then be able to make wise, right choices in everyday life.
Show the younger Christians that surround you how to make the right choices—by making the right choices!
I am convinced by experience that when we walk closely with God through the Holy Spirit, we gain access to the mind of Christ. We need that mind more now than ever. The decisions we make today will have a lasting effect on our tomorrows.
Make the wise choice now to walk closer with God.
