When burdens weigh me down and things are looking grim,
I close my eyes in prayer and simply go to Him.
To tell Him that I love Him, my Best friend without a doubt,
He’s always there to listen and He always helps me out.
It doesn’t matter what the problem, no matter how big or how small,
I hand them over to Jesus; He takes care of them all.
My burdens I trade to Him, if it’s sickness or whether it’s shame.
I lay them all down at His feet and call on His Mighty Name.
And when sorrow strikes or my body is in pain,
I can call on Him, He will never complain.
He restores my health and my soul back to new,
My prayer He answers, He is Righteous and True.
I can call on Him anytime, during the day or even at night,
He’s always there to listen to my grieving or my plight.
He is ever faithful, and I put my hope in Him.
With love and peace and kindness, He fills me to the brim.
