'IF'

Without doubt, we all want God’s favour and blessing on our life. We all want to carry God’s enormous eternal healing and joy. That’s part of being a child of the most High God. As our heavenly Father, we enjoy the promised heavenly inheritance that are so huge, would blow our minds to even try to imagine. (Ephesians 3:20)

However, with every promise there is a condition. IF you do this or that, you will receive this or that. That word, ‘IF’ is a stumbling block to many people which prevents the enormity of God’s blessings from being unfurled in our lives.

‘IF’ always demands something of us. It demands submission and obedience. It also requires repentance. Sadly, many people are trading in their opportunity for salvation and many other grace-induced rewards due to not being able to or not wanting to live up to their end of the bargain.

One thing we must understand from the off-set...God will always live up to His end of the bargain. Always keeps His promises.

‘IF’ might be a small word but it trips many people into separation from the awesome and eternal King of kings.

  • ‘IF my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’ 2 Chronicles 7:14

Do you want eternal forgiveness and healing of your land (your possessions, home, family, work, destruction of the devourer etc)? I imagine you said yes. Well then, humble yourself and pray and seek God’s face and repent from all of your sin on a daily basis.

For me, the choice is ezy. ‘IF’, after all, means a much better life don’t you think?

God bless you as we enter 2009 together under God’s blessing and favour.

Love from you pastor, Daren.
