How great is our God? Our God is eternal. Above all things. Defeater of our foe, the devil. Victorious over death. Cleanser of sin. King of kings. The Lover of our souls. Our Good Shepherd. The Mighty Risen Lord. The Alpha & the Omega. The Bright and Morning Star. The Keeper of the keys. The Way, the Truth and the Life. The Door. The Light of the World. Our Healer. Our Protector. Our Strong and Mighty Tower. Our Provider.
I don’t have the space on this page to even make a dent to describe the glory that is our God.
I wonder if you know Him. My God will be your peace and hope and validates your very existence. He calls you to rise up and enjoy His presence today.
So much can be said of praise and worship. We can focus on the instruments, the production, the quality of sound, the talent of the singers and musicians, the tunes, the words and it goes on. All these things are good. It’s all to aid us in our quest to know Jesus more.
But when it all boils down, Praise and worship is up to where our hearts and motivation lies.
- Hebrews 2:12 says— "I will tell of Your Name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing Your praise."
All these names and attributes are great to know. But knowing the God behind these names is where we need to be. Praise & worship becomes second nature when we truly know God intimately and passionately.
My encouragement to this congregation is this... Seek His face. Glory in His presence. Loose yourself in His love. Bask in His magnificence.
