We are His Workmanship

Potential is something we are all born with. We see a newborn child and look for similarities or traits that pertain to their mum or dad (much is wild imagination just to be nice to the parents). As that child grows, they show individual character development that if nurtured well, can become a great blessing and strength.

If you see a young man who stretches 2 metres in height, my immediate thought is, he’d make a great basketball player. Even though his height may point that way, reality can be very different. He must have coordination. Ball handling skills. Speed and agility. Commitment. Desire. Fitness and the list goes on and on.

It’s all potential until it is realised by hard work and walking the talk. Potential is ok but it must be crystallised through action.

Last week, I spoke on turning our potential into eternal reality. What is your potential? What eternally significant dream to you have that’s yet to be realised? Know this one thing...God has more in store for you as you completely submit to His Lordship in your life.

  • Ephesians 2:10 says, “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Whatever it is that God prepared you in advance to do, do it. Don’t just talk about it or form a committee to organise another meeting...Just do it according to correct protocols of course allowing order in the House of God.  (see the Pastor)

Potential is no good until you put legs to it. Go for it in the power of the Holy Spirit.

God bless you as you do good works in Christ. Love Pastor Daren
