Trust in the Lord

When things don’t go as you planned, what do you do? When everything around you is falling apart, where do you run?

It is very tempting to draw from your vast bank account of experience and your overwhelmingly high level of intellect but, in a time of testing, isn’t it better to draw from the One who knows best? He sees the future and holds your life in the palm of His hand. He makes the sun rise and set each day and sustains your every heartbeat.

God doesn't want us to be ‘control freaks’ because that is taking all faith out of the equation and limiting our present and future to our limited understanding and knowledge. Don’t try to work God out. You won’t be able to do it with your feeble, finite mind so why walk that way?

We are told to trust in the Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight."

To trust God in every part of our lives relieves us of much pressure and pain. He "takes the hit" in our good times and bad. Put the Lord into the driver’s seat of your live, and you will not crash. (As long as you don’t learn the "art" of back seat driving)

Put God first in your life. Allow Him to make it happen. Watch His will unfold to great blessings as you trust totally in Him.

God bless you wonderful church. Love you all, Daren
