Many great actions in the Bible were a direct result of ordinary people believing God enough to go before them. See James 5:17.
Many a Christian fails to achieve any benefit for God’s Kingdom due to one crucial element...fear of failure. We all want to get it right so desperately that our fear of doing it wrong, no matter what it is, brings seizure to our faith.
- ‘What if I do it wrong?’
- ‘What if I fail?’
- ‘What if I let the team down?’
- ‘What if I make a fool of myself?’
There are so many “What if’s” that our eyes are fixed on the ‘problem’ rather than the solution. We are forgetting one vital aspect in this whole thing... “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Roman 8:31 God is our solution!
When I say these things, I definitely include myself in the mix. I think of the great exploits I could have done in my lifetime if I hadn’t listened to the voice inside that asked, “What if?” The fact remains, if the Holy Spirit has placed a specific thought into our minds, we must run with it. He will provide the way and the means to achieve great exploits for His Name’s sake.
Another thing, if you want to break these bonds of fear, hang out with faith believers. ‘Ney Sayers’ will only ever focus on the problem, never the solution!
