Last week the front page subject was to have a full well. Jesus told the Samaritan woman that the water He offers, she will never go thirsty again...TOTAL & Eternal satisfaction guaranteed! Wow! This must have blown the mind of this woman who only went to the well for a drink and to meet the needs of her household.
Jesus promises to meet our needs both eternally and right now. Just trust Him.
A house filled with the presence of the Saviour will be a house with all it’s needs met in every aspect of life. A part of having that well filled is a life of prayer.
Is it possible to be a powerful church that is not a prayerful church? Absolutely Not! Our power is not from us, our activities, our holiness or righteousness. Our power is not ours! We, as God’s creation are void of real supernatural power to make a genuine difference on this planet if we aren’t connected to Christ.
We are told to be like Christ. We are told that we have the mind of Christ. How could that be possible without an active prayer life with the giver of such power?
If you want to switch on you TV, you must first connect with the source of power...the power point. If you don’t plug it in and then switch it on, you enjoy a night of watching your own reflection on a blank TV screen.
God wants a Holy Ghost relationship with you. He wants real communication and to connect with you. The only way to do this is to become active in your prayer life. The precedent for corporate prayer is set in His Word...
Acts 4:31 “And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.”
