Is studying the Bible, praying to our Awesome Father, being involved in the life of the church and witnessing of His amazing acts imperative to being a rock-solid Christian?
Great question. I’m glad you asked.
Let me pose you a couple of questions. If you want to get fit, what do you eat and drink and where do you spend time and fill your mind with? Do you “hang out” with fit & disciplined people?
Ok then. If I want to fill my bucket with water, do I wave it in the air under a blue sky and just hope the bucket fills up? Of course not! I need to put in place certain measures to ensure my bucket is in a stream or a well brimming with water.
We can only give what we have. If we are a stale and dry Christian, what is there to give? Alternatively, if you have set in place Godly disciplines of Constant reading of the Word, faithful prayer life, actively involved in church and always looking for those opportunities to speak of Jesus to the unbeliever, God will fill your well. He won’t leave you go dry. You will be that vessel used by the Holy Spirit to achieve great exploits for God.
You better believe it! God is faithful and trustworthy. Next time I ask you to share a Word or even a prophesy, draw from your time with God. He won’t let you down.
Keep your well full. Ephesians 5:18 “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is excess, but be filled with the Spirit.”
God bless you as you fill your tanks today. Pastor Daren
