 The father of two wonderful teenage sons, Daren was married to his beautiful wife, Kerrith in 1986. With many years of ministry behind him, it all started when he was just 18 years of age as the youth leader of his small but vibrant local church. He has a long history of successful ministry years both in youth and in general church environment.
Nothing stirs him more than seeing the everyday Christian rise above the everyday life issues and becoming victorious in tough times. “We are here to live in this world, it’s about time we learn to trust in the One who made us and placed us in this world”, Pastor Daren said. His passion is in evangelism and teaching. Loving, accepting and forgiving are the foundation of his ministry. He has seen the many fads and the “new waves”, but all he is interested in is the real. Believing in schools ministries, Daren has a long history working in schools to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the students and staff. Formally Chairman of the local High School Chaplaincy Committee, Coordinator of Religious Education in the local High School and lunch time club Coordinator of the primary and high schools in his local community, Daren leads from the front when it comes to ministering to the young.
Daren only recently resigned as senior pastor from the church he planted in 2003. He is excited about the future God is leading him and his family into. 'The faith step is sometimes only known by one person...God'. 'If we knew what every door we enter leads too, we wouldn't need faith', said Daren. The church is God's representative here on planet earth and Daren is passionate about empowering Christians for ministry. 'Without the fulness of the Holy Spirit, we would be totally lost as Christians', Daren concluded. When there is authentic worship happening, it is really tough to reject the call of God.
Above everything, Daren is here to serve his eternal God who sent His Son to die a gruesome death on the cross. Serving Jesus is what life is all about.
